Mark Wilson - Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, I work with the Cochrane Governing Board (formerly the Steering Group) in developing the organization’s strategic goals and objectives contained in our Strategy to 2020. I am responsible for the effective running of Cochrane so that the organization achieves these goals and objectives, leading a Central Executive Team and our network of nearly 120 Cochrane Groups around the world.
Lucie Binder - Senior Advisor to the CEO
My job is to support the CEO in running the business. This gives me a varied portfolio, but principally I am responsible for driving the implementation of the Strategy to 2020, and working with the Editorial Unit to manage the contractual and operational requirements of the publishing partnership with Wiley. I also work closely with the other members of the Senior Management Team to advise and facilitate communication on strategic and business matters with the Central Executive team and the organisation more widely.
Chris Champion - Senior Programme Manager
Working alongside Mark Wilson and Lucie Binder, I am responsible for a series of projects in the CEO’s office. My principle responsibilities include managing the development and implementation of the Cochrane Membership Scheme; managing the structure and function review of Cochrane groups (in particular the Fields and Centres); and managing the move to open access (where I work closely with the Editorial Unit). I also have several other responsibilities including: producing the Cochrane Dashboard each quarter and oversight of project Transform, as well as supporting Mark on other projects as and when required.
Lorna McAlley - Executive PA to CEO
My main responsibilities are to coordinate the CEO’s diary, arrange his travel, produce documents and draft correspondence for him on request, take minutes at meetings as required and to provide general administrative support to the Steering Group, including coordinating their meetings and producing their agendas. I also provide support to the Senior Advisor to the CEO, and the Senior Management Team when requested.
Richard Morley - Consumer Co-ordinator
I work to support consumer involvement in the production and dissemination of Cochrane evidence. I do this in a number of ways including co-ordinating the Cochrane Consumer Network, a large and growing community of over 1400 patients, carers, family members, and people who support the principle of involvement in research. I am a non-voting member of the Consumer Network Executive whose members are elected by consumers themselves. More information about consumer involvement can be found at http://consumers.cochrane.org/
