In September 2023, the Governing Board and the Council agreed to work together to develop new and improved ways of engaging with the Cochrane Community. 

The Council as it was, ceased operating at the end of 2023. A working group made up of members of the Governing Board and the Council has been meeting regularly to explore new mechanisms for two-way communication, engagement and participation between the central organization and the Community.  

The working group will meet again in May and it is expected to work up a proposal for the Governing Board to consider in June or September.
