Welcome to GES Prague 2021

Welcome to GES Prague 2021

Following the success of the inaugural Global Evidence Summit in Cape Town in 2017, we are delighted to welcome you on behalf of the Czech National Centre for Evidence-Based Healthcare and Knowledge Translation and Masaryk University, to the 2021 Global Evidence Summit in Prague.

We hope you will join us from 5-8 October 2021 at the O2 universum Congress Centre for a series of plenaries and special sessions, which will be delivered by several national and international speakers.

The Summit will provide a platform to discuss critical issues across many different sectors, including health, education, social justice, the environment, and climate change. The theme of the Summit ‘Using Evidence. Improving Lives’ aims to advance the use of reliable research evidence in addressing some of the world’s most serious health and social challenges.

The host city, Prague, is the capital of the Czech Republic and its largest city boasting an eclectic political, cultural, and economic centre. The city is one of the safest, multicultural destinations with an excellent infrastructure, offering a wide range of activities, entertainment, business opportunities, and lots of fascinating places to discover!

Complete with a rich history, Prague often ranks as one of the most popular tourist and meeting destinations in Europe. The city has been named “The Golden City of a Hundred Spires”, and is decorated with almost a thousand towers, providing you with breathtaking views 365 days a year. Romanesque chapels and cellars, Gothic cathedrals, Baroque palaces, and gardens, as well as stunning Art Nouveau buildings, and unique Cubist architecture make the city perfect for exploring.

The Czech Republic provides visitors with a world-class landscape featuring high mountains, deep forests, lakes and rivers, fertile and rich lands down in Southern Moravia, home to Czech´s most famous wine regions.

A country with an incredible historical heritage that can be found in every city, coupled with the well-renowned hospitality of the Czech people, really does make for an incredible experience.

We hope you will join us in 2021 in the ‘heart’ of Europe, as our country is called, for another informative, productive, and stimulating Global Evidence Summit, and also to enjoy the hospitality of Prague and the Czech Republic, and to make this event a memorable experience for all.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Miloslav
