Update on central support for EU funding

Update on central support for EU funding

Angéline Serre, EU Funding Coordinator, is leaving Cochrane to take up a one-year position at Bordeaux University. Her last day will be January 12. Given the ongoing uncertainty for EU funding of UK Cochrane Groups, as well as the central team, due to Brexit, we have been in discussions about what central support was appropriate given that many fewer groups will be able to access EU funding in future. We will have a wider consultation with EU-based groups and especially the EU Working Group on what central support is needed, within our constrained resources, for EU funding.

I personally want to thank Angéline for all of her hard work and professionalism during this time of uncertainty. She has been a wonderful colleague who has worked extremely hard to deliver funding to Cochrane. My sincere hope is that this isn’t goodbye to Angéline forever, but a chance for us to take stock and assess how we might move forward in accessing EU funding. If you have any questions, please contact Sylvia de Haan.
