CRS Training Event - Oxford 2017

Training videos recorded at the CRS Training Workshop on 13 March 2017:

  1. Introduction
An introduction to the Cochrane Register of Studies. What it is, what it does, and how it is being implemented.
  2. Importing
A demonstration of how to import records to the Cochrane Register of Studies, including an explanation of the approach taken on import filters
  3. Screening
Triaging records to screen for inclusion in specialised registers or reviews is a new feature in CRS Web, and this short video demonstrates how it works.
  4. Tracking
Tracking within CRS Web can be used in two ways. Firstly, to find out which records in Cochrane reviews need to be added to the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL); it can also be used to track which references have been sent to which Cochrane author.
  5. Working with Studies
This demonstrates how reference records link to studies within CRS Web, and goes through how to create or add to study records
  6. The Classifier
James Thomas discusses machine learning within the CRS, and how it works. Gordon Dooley then shows how information specialists could use this feature in their work.
