We started Russian Translation Project for Cochrane in 2014 and this year we will be celebrating 10 years of our Flagman Priority Russian Translation Project with over 3100 Russian translations
We have more than 200 volunteer translators representing various countries from all over the World, including health professionals specialising in various medical and pharmacy fields, as well as consumers at large. We use Russian translation project for training of students, both studying health professions and foreign language students. Teaching staff of both linguistics and medical specialties have been actively involved. The duration of this activity is nearing 10 years in 2024. The impact: at the onset of COVID-19 pandemic in the first quarter of 2020, Russian translations of Cochrane Plain Language Summaries were the most accessed, and we were number one.
