Please give additional activity details (i.e., reach, impact, duration, return on investment) The continuous advancements in AI, automation, and language processing have a growing impact on how evidence syntheses could be created and utilised. The development of AI language models (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and the evolution of automation tools (e.g., ASReview, Laser AI, DistillerSR) present new opportunities and challenges in areas such as search strategy development, screening and data extraction, as well as in risk of bias assessment. This creates opportunities for faster conducting or updating of evidence syntheses, which can be of great significance for evidence synthesis creators and users. The 2024 Methods-Forum (one day, 99 participants) was an excellent opportunity to discuss activities related to evidence syntheses with experts in the field of AI language models and automation tools and to weigh opportunities, limitations, and risks.
