Organization of the International Symposium – "Charting the Future of Evidence Synthesis for Health Technology Assessment and Decision-Making", on December 13, 2024, Friday | 9:00am to 4:00pm (UTC/WET) | Auditorium of CIM-FMUP at the Faculty of Medicine – University of Porto (FMUP), Portugal. Hybrid event (in person and online) in English.
The symposium will focus on key topics shaping the future of evidence synthesis, health technology assessment, and decision-making in healthcare. Renowned international researchers will participate, including Sofia Dias (University of York, Director of the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination and NICE Technology Appraisals Committee member), Jelena Savovic (University of Bristol, part of the National Institute for Health and Care Research – NIHR Evidence Synthesis Programme), and Holger Schünemann (Humanitas University, Director of the Clinical Epidemiology and Research Center and founding member of the GRADE Working Group). Contributions from FMUP researchers Luís Azevedo, Bernardo Sousa Pinto, and Joana Pardal will also enrich the discussions.
